The Patron Saint of Lost Girls and Oranges

Local author Maureen Aitken will read excerpts from her book The Patron Saint of Lost Girls. Joining her will be author and U of M lecturer Gary E Peter reading from his book Oranges: Stories at the University of Minnesota Bookstores at Coffman Memorial Union on Wednesday, November 7 at 4:00 p.m.

The Patron Saint of Lost Girls is a fictional work about main character Mary’s resilience in the face of economic struggle, addiction, and injustice. Oranges: Stories is a fictional work about Michael Dolin, a gay man navigating the Midwest social structures and gender expectations.

Aitken and Peter will sign copies of their books following the reading. This event is free and open to the public.
