Bachelor Degree Academic Apparel

Academic apparel is a commencement tradition at the University of Minnesota. The University of Minnesota Bookstore is your official campus graduation source, and we're here to outfit you for your commencement.

Candidates for bachelor degrees wear:

• black bachelor gown
• black mortarboard cap
• appropriate tassel color for your college
  • Tassel colors are determined by the college granting your degree. To determine your tassel color, view the U of M tassel colors by college.

Bachelor candidates may purchase cap & gowns at the

• U of M Bookstore at Coffman Memorial Union
• U of M Bookstore at the St. Paul Student Center
• Online from the U of M Bookstore

Bachelor gowns are sized by height. All mortarboard caps are one size fits all.
